Educators are the architects and builders of lives. Of course, there are days when seeing the difference we make is easier than others, but every day holds the opportunity and potential to change a life. Shared from https://t.co/jqHmLAtFGd
Most of what is true of the kids in the school… is also true of the adults. We all feel insecure at times. We all want to be noticed. We all hope to be successful. We all have been hurt by the unkind words of others. We all work harder when friends encourage us.
There are students everywhere… who never liked a subject until they got that one special teacher. So it doesn’t matter what your subject is… you have the potential to be that one special teacher.
If you treat people like they're smart, they're eager to learn. If you assume they're dumb, they tend to disengage.
People generally have the ability to understand if you help them find the motivation. When you show confidence in their capability, they become more curious.
@CatelinCeleste My take after 34 1/2 years of parenting is not much different. I can tell you that loving her and loving her daddy will count for a lot. 😊❤️
Role model = excellence+ vulnerability
Showing strength without weakness makes you unattainable and unapproachable.
Displaying your faults along with your gifts makes you admirable and relatable.

2. Together we’re better
3. I understand
4. I trust you
5. I appreciate your commitment
6. I appreciate your hard work
7. I own that mistake
8. I apologize
9. Do you have the materials you need?
10. I’ll defend you and our team
There are a number of qualities that define effective teachers, but one that really stands out to me is this: they are enjoying their own lesson, and they are enjoying the students they're teaching.
If you’re kind, honest, and a hard worker… you’ll end up being a great human. The academic standards are important… but it’s also cool when educators can find ways to reinforce this other stuff.
