I don't think we should discount the power of engagement. A student engaged in a lesson will learn so much more than a student not. But good gamification also gives real time feedback to teachers to adjust instruction. #utedchat Like Peardeck, Gimkit, Quizlet, Kahoot.

Yes! The article made me think about lesson plans. Before my current gig, I was an ELA teacher-of course I wanted to share all about the novel we were reading because I was so excited. But I was probably dumping on my students and then they couldn't process the book. #utedchat
