Stellar’s Big Protocol 28 Upgrade Set For Testnet And Mainnet

Stellar (@StellarOrg) is preparing Protocol 28, known as Adapter, for its next network upgrade.

The testnet vote is scheduled for August 27, followed by the mainnet vote September 16.

The upgrade includes:

- CAP-83 is designed to improve consensus performance when transaction data propagates slowly.
- CAP-85 will allow multiple contracts sharing code to be upgraded together.
- CAP-86 will make contract data migrations easier through new sparse map functions.

Stellar recommends SDK users update before the respective testnet and mainnet deadlines.
