Last week’s League of Women Voters candidate forum was such a great event! But don’t just take my word for it—hear what others had to say and see for yourself.

I took your voice straight to Washington, D.C. Last week, I met with top officials at the U.S. Department of Transportation to deliver a clear message: Light rail doesn’t belong in the I-5 Bridge replacement project. Our community has been loud and clear, and I’ll never stop fighting for common-sense infrastructure solutions that actually work for Camas and SW Washington.

🚨 Visit to U.S. Department of Transportation to Oppose Light Rail in I-5 Bridge Project 🚨
On Friday, I visited the U.S. Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C. to speak directly with top decision-makers about the I-5 bridge replacement project and why Southwest Washington continues to oppose the costly and unnecessary light rail component.
I met with @SecDuffy Chief of Staff, Chief Counsel, and three federal transit attorneys to make it clear: our communities deserve real transportation solutions—not a $2 billion light rail line that brings Portland’s problems into Camas, Vancouver, and beyond.
I’m committed to standing up for our region and making sure local voices are heard at every level of government. Camas and my neighbors in SW Washington deserve better. #camasdeservesbetter
On Wednesday, the Clark County Council is set to vote on a countywide fireworks ban—a move that would strip away a longstanding tradition for families across our community.
Let’s be clear: Independence Day is more than just a celebration—it’s a symbol of the courage, sacrifice, and revolutionary spirit that gave birth to our great democracy. Fireworks are a living reminder of the “rockets’ red glare” that marked our fight for freedom and continue to represent our national pride.
As a proud Camas City Councilor and mom, I believe we can honor that legacy by celebrating safely, responsibly, and together. Washingtonians don’t need to be told to sit down and stay quiet—we need leaders who trust the people they represent and understand the importance of tradition, patriotism, and community.
Banning fireworks won’t solve our challenges—it only silences a powerful expression of who we are.
Let’s protect our freedoms, not restrict them.
Vancouver’s mayor is blaming Camas and Battle Ground for her city’s homeless crisis? As a Camas City Councilor and mom, I find this outrageous. Our communities deserve real leadership and solutions – not finger-pointing or costly Portland policies pushed onto us. She doesn’t mention Portland’s problems or how her light rail project will be a one way ticket for more homeless. I’m fighting to protect Southwest Washington families from failed ideas like a light rail boondoggle and lawless encampments. We need to restore accountability and safety in our region, not pass the buck.

Our neighbors in SW Washington deserve real solutions, not wasteful projects like light rail on the I-5 bridge. Sign the petition today to tell leaders we need a cost-effective, congestion-reducing plan that actually works for our communities!

This right here is what happens when someone stands up for our local neighbors and challenges the elected establishment elite here in SW Washington. We don’t need backroom wheeling and dealing, we deserve transparency and elected representatives who will put the people first.
Michelle is a good leader and I know that like me (and unlike Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle), she’ll keep fighting against projects like this that are a waste of taxpayer dollars and jeopardize our future. Now is the time for leaders who are interested in actually representing the people here in SW Washington to unite and take a stand for the future of our collective community.

Had a great conversation with @LarsLarsonShow about the disaster that is the light rail portion of the I-5 bridge project last week after Battle Ground passed their resolution. Our communities are standing up and saying NO—Camas and Battle Ground have already passed resolutions opposing it, and it's time for more to join the fight. Listen to the interview!

I’m calling on Secretary of Transportation @SecDuffy to take a hard look at the costly and ineffective light rail plan for the I-5 bridge replacement. This plan is bad for our communities and bad for our wallets. Our neighbors in Southwest Washington deserve better.

Another win for SW Washington! The city of Battle Ground has joined Camas in taking a stand against light rail on the I-5 bridge replacement project, passing their own resolution to remove it from the plan. It’s time for more communities to stand up and make their voices heard!

@elonmusk —I am a local city councilor and have a DOGE project for you!!! Check out Washington State’s abuse and waste on the most expensive transportation project EVER in the PNW.
Spoiler alert 📷: In the $7.5B Interstate 5 bridge replacement project, Feds and state collectively pay $2B for less than 2 miles of light rail that few will use and was voted down by the people twice before.
Please stop federal funding for outdated and ineffective light rail!
Brian and I braved the I-5 bridge traffic to make it to the Let Kids Learn Gala in Hillsboro last night, where I got to chat with @RCamposDuffy about family, her husband, Sec of Transportation @SeanDuffyWI, and the ongoing saga of the I-5 bridge replacement, light rail, and how transportation issues impact my neighbors in Southwest WA.
Light rail on the I-5 Bridge is a waste of tax dollars that won’t fix traffic congestion. The Camas City Council unanimously voted to remove light rail from the project, and yesterday the Battle Ground City Council did the same.

I proudly authored the Camas City Council’s unanimous resolution opposing light rail in the I-5 Bridge Replacement Project because it’s an outdated, overpriced plan that won’t fix our traffic problems. Read my latest op-ed to learn more: https://t.co/8M6CFknSTR
