Depression is heavily misunderstood…
Many people would rather suffer in silence than say “I think I’m depressed” because they fear it means they are going mad.
No. Seeking help is awareness, not weakness.
One of the saddest things about depression is that many people refuse to talk about it.
Not because they don’t need help
but because they fear being judged, labeled, or seen as “crazy.”
Depression is not madness. It’s a health condition.
Many people are depressed and don’t even want to admit it.
Why? Because society made them believe depression means “going mad.”
So they stay silent. They struggle alone. They call it stress, tiredness, or “just life.”
People often ask, “Why didn’t they speak up?”
But the better question is:
“Did they feel safe enough to?”
Mental health conversations need compassion, not judgment.
Healing is strange.
One day you’re okay. The next day, something small breaks you again.
That doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re human. #MentalHealthAwareness
Mental health doesn’t always look like tears.
Sometimes it looks like showing up tired. Smiling while struggling. Saying “I’m fine” because explaining feels exhausting.
Be kind. You never know what someone is carrying. 💙
