@JonPaula Not that i know of, i guess thats possible. Grant S Boucher is the author who gave him that name, so you could try to find and ask him if you really want to
@JonPaula You say that like it proves anything. He didnt have a first name in the script or the movie. He didnt get a first name until Star Wars comic issue 6, when he got the first name Tono. He didnt get the first name Jek until the 1989 source book Galaxy Guide 1 came out. So, ur wrong.
@realjtlopez Difference is GL knew how to make characters have character. Mace fucking Towani had more characterization in Caravan of Courage than any of the props they called characters in this movie. And i actually know his name, because he has one, unlike half the characters in mando.
@flowzr91@PlasmaGiantArt Ah yes the classic lines of:
"when i left you i was but the pada-wan, now i am the obi-wan"
-
"only an obi-wan of evil, darth."
@Kerrcarr01 Pablo Hidalgo is a menace to Mando'a. If he's not using a verb as a noun, he's using a noun as an adjective. He doesn't know what part of speech means, or conjugation. He's a lore advisor, not a language advisor. Canon Mando'a makes little sense in no small part thanks to him.
@MandalorianSon I'm a big fan of your RC audiobook series. I run the mando'a lessons yt channel and I would love to give some advice on mando'a pronunciation. Dms are paywalled here, so my discord is in my twt bio, and email in my yt bio.
@MarindaVannoy1 Actually its a stupid question. "Why is punching someone in the face considered assault, but teaching children about the consequences of violence is essential?" ass question
@cjayjay49@IvanCortez_ @StonedStarWars You are not arguing in good faith, just saying snooze over and over. only thing that perked your ears was me deriding you bc its more sensational a post. If a couple tweets worth of analyis is too boring for you to actually engage in, then maybe its not the movies fault
@JeffersonEagley@tulpapilled Theres no way to say this nowadays without sounding antagonistic, but source? What you say makes logical sense at the surface and ive seen similar claims in other online forums but never seen a study on that specifically
@SavLovesSwift Creeps exist, but still, a soldier doesnt take a knee to shoot the enemy in the crotch, they do it to stabilize their shot. It results in a more stable photo, as well as a more "heroic" upwards angle. Or as seen near end of video, to get out of the way of the photographer behind.
@IvanCortez_@cjayjay49 @StonedStarWars To head off future comment, yes when they return to naboo theres only one ship remaining, after they secured the planet with their invasion force, there was no need to maintain so many ships in orbit. Just like many real examples of blockades after ground forces secured the land
@IvanCortez_@cjayjay49 @StonedStarWars You're joking right? Or have you not actually seen the movie? This is from like 30 seconds into the movie, and incase you cant count, theres more than one, cuz its a blockade, and ten minute later they start landing an invasion army, after trying to kill ambassadors for peace
@cjayjay49@IvanCortez_ @StonedStarWars Ah look at me i think colonial empires stripping native peoples of their wealth, land, and life is boring. im so edgy i never paid attention to history and am doomed to repeat it ahah. Ever wonder why TradeFeds have a 'Viceroy'? What the hell do you guys think star wars is about?
@IvanCortez_ @StonedStarWars Look up the East India Company. Or for modern example: Imagine Pespi has seat in the UN, they refurbish the warships they got from the Soviets, and use them to blockade Thailand until they sign a treaty saying theyll give Pespi all their sugar tax-free. and the UN does nothing
