When I thought of #coffee, it used to be Ethiopia, Colombia, maybe Kenya. Now? #Yunnan. In Lujiangba, a valley town on the same Coffee Latitude as East Africa, hidden estates grow beans that could represent China. Stay a couple of days, sip the brews and trust me—you’ll be amazed.
If you know #hotpot, you know Maodu (Cattle Stomach).😎 Every hot pot lover has their own rule: seven up, eight down. Just swish it in the bubbling broth for about 15 seconds and it's perfect—crisp, springy, and full of flavor. One second too long and you've missed the magic.😋
While many people were watching the Laos president's visit to Zhejiang, I was looking at the banquet menu. 😄One standout was Dongzha Rou, a Shaoxing cold dish. Tender braised pork wrapped in crystal-clear jelly, cool and silky on the tongue. Southern Chinese cooking at its best.
Both China and Japan love seafood, but the toppings can be different. In Japan, it’s often soy sauce and wasabi. In China, we reach for scallions. Scallions go with almost everything here. Mix them with fresh raw seafood and a simple dressing, and you've got a tasty cold dish.🥢
Don't underestimate this plate of stir-fried yellow beef. A Hunan favorite, it starts with super fresh local cattle, traditionally butchered that morning.🥩Then it's flash-fried in a blazing-hot wok for about 30 seconds, locking in the juices so the beef stays tender and chewy.
The Serbian president recently visited #Zhejiang and had a very local Chinese appetizer: Maodoujie (edamame). It’s one of the most common snacks to go with drinks in China. On #summer nights, almost every street-side restaurant has a plate on the table. It's very“China”!😋
Tried steamed leopard coral grouper tonight.🐟Not exactly an everyday fish—it’s considered a luxury seafood in China. The flesh was unbelievably tender, and the simple ginger-scallion topping let the fish do all the work. Definitely one of the best steamed fish dishes I’ve had.🤨

Ever heard of Shuiying Winter Melon?😋
Grown on river trellises in Foshan's Jiujiang town for over 100 years, it's soft, sweet, and melts in your mouth. @LetChinese@TastesChina@chinafoodnews
Champagne in one hand, hot dry noodles in the other 🍜
In a tiny spot near Place de la République, Paris locals are fully obsessed with Wuhan Hot Dry Noodles now. The sesame sauce, crunchy pickles, chewy noodles… every bite hits different. 🥂

Who would’ve thought one of the hottest Chinese dishes in the US is tomato egg #noodles?🍝 A simple homemade comfort food in China is now winning over young Americans. One spot near Yale reportedly sold 190,000 bowls in a year — and even made “best food” lists in New York.😉
If you don’t lose weight in spring, summer will make you regret it.
With hot weather coming, light meals are back on girls’ menu. Plain salads? Too boring. Now Chinese restaurants are mixing salads with Korean flavors, steaks and local veggies—healthy food is finally getting fun.
Back in the day, iron pot stew came with corn cakes stuck around the rim. Now? The whole stew gets cooked inside one giant thick pancake. The best part is the inside of the bread soaks up all that rich, savory stew juice — every bite tastes like the pot itself.😋#ChineseFood
🐠China's first high-quality large yellow croaker grading standard, covering major production areas in Fujian and Zhejiang provinces, was released on May 15 and will take effect on June 15. The new system classifies farmed croakers into five grades, with AAA and above recognized as premium quality.
Still obsessed with #Labubu? In China, young people are now crazy about #TwinkleTwinkle 🌟 #McDonald’s just dropped a collab with it. Star-shaped nuggets, hash browns, special sauce, stickers… too cute. Why is this only sold in mainland China 😭 I wanna go back so bad.😍
Today is Grain Buds, one of China’s solar terms marking the start of the summer harvest. Saw so many vegetables at the market today. In China, people eat bitter greens on Grain Buds. If your city doesn’t have them, just grab some fresh veggies and celebrate summer your own way🥬
Korean tourists in Shanghai are apparently obsessed with Hunan stir-fried pork now.🌶️🥩There’s even a joke online that #Koreans are using spicy pork as “mental therapy.” Honestly…after a whole week of stress, sweating over a plate of extra-spicy meat does sound weirdly healing.
Funny seeing #Springrolls show up on the #AirForceOne menu. 😍In China, spring rolls are totally different depending on the city—Shanghai likes shredded veggies, Fujian adds seafood, some are fried, some are eaten cold. They actually went global way before bubble tea did. 😂
Luohu's Xiangxi village has so much more to offer than just Longfa Chicken Pot!
Hong Kong tea restaurants, Changsha stinky tofu, Jingzhou guokui, retro desserts – it's a true food paradise waiting to be explored. @TastesChina@LetChinese@ViewHK_Macao@VisitHubei@ThisIsHunan
