Police arrest dairy farm owners and workers in labour law enforcement operation

A joint inspection by the Department of Employment and Labour inspectors and the Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour led to the arrest of dairy farm owners and staff, including undocumented foreign nationals, at a dairy farm in Derby, North West, South Africa.

The operation was likely prompted by violations of labour laws, including the employment of individuals without proper documentation.

After an investigation, police arrived at a smallholding. They found blood on the floor, a sleeping bag, and bloody drag marks that led them to a storeroom where they made the gruesome discovery of a decomposed body.
