Nine years ago on Valentine's, I adopted Alfie. This is my first Valentine's without him, but I'm so grateful for the photos and happy memories I have of him ❤️ thank you all for loving him.

Whenever I would open the fridge, I would hear his claws clacking against the floor. He would always look at me with hope in his eyes even though he knew he wouldn't get anything haha. It's still sad to go into the kitchen, look behind me, and not see him there with his big eyes

@FrecklesXX20 I can't even imagine Alfie with another dog 😂 he living proof that some dogs were meant to be only dogs!

Many of the rescue places around here won't let me adopt unless I currently have a dog. I was going to show Alfie's Twitter to prove that I'm a good dog owner, but I remember that he rarely spoke highly of me 😂 👇🏼

I just got that annual letter in the mail for license renewal, and it was so unreal to ✅ the "I no longer have this pet" box lol

@jztkddng Aww thank you ☺️ usually when our dogs pass, we bring them to animal control and then we write them off there. Alfie's due for his shots too, so the reminders should be coming in the mail soon too haha
