In Alberta,
There are TWO interpretations to the phrase FAFO.
Most everyone knows the first one.
F*ck
Around &
Find
Out.
But out here, is also means...
Free
Alberta
From
Ottawa.
And they damned near mean, the exact same thing.
Leftists need not apply.
Just listened to Pierre's speech and it was useless as I expected it would be.
1. I heard a lot of things that should be done, but never will be done. We are not betting on hope. We are betting on reality.
2. I heard a lot of nostalgia. The past is the past. We are betting for the future.
3. I heard "don't give up on Canada" when the truth is Canada gave up on us.
Not interested in what you're selling @PierrePoilievre
Talk to the corrupt puppet hands who laundered 26 Billion…yes with a B…to corrupt Ukraine. Yet the province who sent their hard money east should not be able to spend money to make our voices heard? Any Albertan with any political intelligence should be able to think that all Albertans, regardless of real intended referendum vote should be voting a solid yes Oct 19. This is the first real step in giving Albertans some political power by showing Ottawa we must have change. Any Albertan who doesn’t want change for our province is our political enemy within.
$100 million is the price tag for Premier Smith's referendum.
That is money that could have gone into our crumbling hospitals.
Specifically when Albertans are waiting nearly THREE YEARS for an MRI.
My constituents are absolutely furious about Premier Smith’s wrong priorities.
The 13 colonies did not seek permission to claim independence from Britain and neither will Albertans. Keep posting your reminder that Alberta needs permission from our abusive government. By my calculations each time crap like this circulates, more Independence votes are gained. Thanks for this.
Alberta separatists tout secession as a way to take control. The reality is, a yes vote would mean a landlocked Alberta would be entering years of uncertain negotiations on everything from currency to passports to coastal access.
Albertans have already tried sending Ottawa a message.
In 2021, 61.7% voted to remove equalization from the Constitution. Ottawa and the other premiers ignored it. Nothing changed.
That is the difference between symbolism and leverage.
The other referendum questions may express Alberta’s frustration, but they do not bind Ottawa to act.
An independence referendum is different. It forces Canada to confront Alberta’s unfair treatment directly.
This vote should not be about party labels or personalities. It should be about whether Albertans have enough say over the decisions that shape our jobs, homes, services, and future.

Absolutely ridiculous! All intelligent people understand that when CBC cuts you off...you are saying something truthful and intelligent. Good job, Keith! No matter how much of a presurser negative spin the interviewer added in his questions, you still out manouvered him:)
Thanks, @ikwilson
Keith Wilson dismantled the fear narrative around Alberta Independence live on CBC.
They asked about uncertainty.
He pointed straight back at Ottawa.
CBC didn’t seem eager to let him keep going.
Albertans have already spoken once.
In 2021, 61.7% voted to remove equalization from the Constitution. The message was clear: Alberta wanted a fairer arrangement. Premier Kenney took that result to Ottawa and to the other premiers.
They ignored it.
No reform. No negotiation. No meaningful response. Nothing changed.
That is the lesson Albertans should carry into the next referendum. Some questions send a message. Others create leverage.
The other October referendum questions may express Alberta’s frustration, but they do not legally require Ottawa to do anything. They can be acknowledged, dismissed, delayed, or forgotten.
An independence referendum is different.
It forces Canada to confront the question it has avoided for too long: whether Alberta will continue paying the bills while others make the decisions.
This should not be about party labels or political personalities. It should be about jobs, homes, housing, services, and whether Albertans have enough say over the future they are being asked to fund.
Get informed. Compare the claims. Then vote.
June 6, 1944. Today, we mark the anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. 14,000 Canadians stormed Juno Beach, showing unparalleled bravery in the face of fierce resistance. 359 Canadians made the ultimate sacrifice that day.
We stand in silent gratitude for the heroes who broke through the Atlantic Wall and paved the path to liberation.

@MarkJCarney Lemme guess.
THIS .... will be your ONE & ONLY post regarding 14,000 Canadians who fought for freedom at Juno Beach.
BUT ... you will post incessantly ALL MONTH about your @liberal_party govts 'wonderful' rainbow inclusion program that segregates & 'honours' 3% of our country?
Ageist and stupid. Well done! A twofer.
The Freedom Convoy - now rightly a famous civil libertarian movement - was protecting your rights too "Frankie".
@APTNNews Zero bodies.Questioning the narrative isn’t denialism. People that use critical thinking skills need actual evidence first. Genocide is a serious allegation to make. Truth is supposed to a part of Reconciliation, not just an endless flow of taxpayer money. https://t.co/KIgtkoWTut
Yes…the gov and corrupt chiefs continue to divide. People think huge money has gone to the Indigenous people, when in reality, it is going to corrupt chiefs and being laundered back to corrupt politicians. Non-Indigenous are mad that they gave out all this money and see no tangible improvements, when in reality the money is not getting to the Common Indigenous projects. Money gone and no tangible project accomplished.
Yup. Rinse and repeat weekly. They haven’t figured out yet that all awake informed people ignore. It will be like the last Trump election. Oh…he’s is so far behind…can’t catch up—oops look who hugely won the election! Lots of Independent Alberta supporters are too busy working to sign petitions, but they will come out and vote!
We’re on at least the 10th rotation of this cycle now.
The script is so predictable you can set your watch to it.
Monday: fake poll.
Tuesday: “it’s impossible.”
Wednesday: “you’ll lose everything.”
Thursday: “extremists!”
Friday: CBC panel nods gravely.
