Introducing Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, the massive expansion to #MHWilds. Soar into a land above, wield new abilities, and hunt legendary monsters in Master Rank!
Prepare for Elder Dragons. The next era of Monster Hunter begins in 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
If this game fails I will never forgive the FGC.
It has rollback, it has crossplay, it has sauce, it has charm, it's all motion inputs, it's a popular IP and it's only $30. If Avatar can't do it, then we truly deserve the current state of Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8.
@dead_spark@arturontheradio You don’t have to break the horn before phase 3 though. You can break it after the phase starts and it still weakens his fire attacks. It isn’t a semantics issue. There just isn’t a deadline for breaking the horns outside of doing it before the quest ends if you want the eyes
@dead_spark@arturontheradio Fatalis’s check ends the hunt. It’s the 30 minute quest timer. The horn break isn’t a check as you can do it at any point in the hunt.
@AccelRiderX@dead_spark Because you’ll see that putting more element into the build isn’t getting you any more damage. The numbers stop getting bigger. So you experiment and see where the drop off point is. Or you just don’t use the elements once you hit the check and swap to raw damage ammos
@AccelRiderX@dead_spark There isn’t a case in the entire game where a weapon just doesn’t work in some capacity outside of dragonblight. You can beat the check by hitting him anywhere. Typically you see the biggest numbers hitting him somewhere and so you keep hitting that spot and it keeps working
@AccelRiderX@dead_spark The same applies to Alatreon. Not knowing about his bloat values doesn’t change most people’s weapon choices for the fight. They use the weapon types they’ve always used and just see that it works and keep using it. The values of hitzones or element weaknesses don’t change that
@AccelRiderX@dead_spark You see what gets the best results by playing the game and continue pushing to get better results and bigger numbers. For most weapons in Iceborne element just isn’t conducive to getting better DPS outside of hyper optimized unrealistic builds to get big numbers.
