Our team just noticed that Former Openweight Myanmar Lethwei World Champion Shwe Du Wun now has a Wikipedia page. He was champion for 3 years from 1995 until 1998 when lost the title to Wan Chai. Great to see Myanmar #Lethwei history being recognized.

Yesterday at the biggest event in Myanmar, the Myanmar Lethwei World Championship 2023, the main event between former champion Tun Tun Min and current champion Thway Thit Win Hlaing (TTWH) ended with no knockout (Draw). TTWH retained the Myanmar Lethwei Openweight title.

@inxxane Such is the case of when Shwe Sai got stripped in 2006 enabling Lone Chaw and former champion Shwe War tun to fight for the belt. Lone Chaw won by decision.

@inxxane If champion vacates the title, gets stripped, or refusal to defend, the title becomes vacant, as per MTLF the two top contenders must fight. The fight cannot end in a draw, a winner must obligatory be declared. TTWH won the vacant title by decision in Jan and defended it today.
