@CameronRoberts @loganclarkhall Battle Cry is a single volume history of the war. Foote is a more comprehensive three volume history. Either are great to start with. Reading Battle Cry first provided great context and now Foote goes a bit deeper with more emphasis on the military elements vs the political.
