Agewell is about celebrating old age, about respecting our elders, about giving them support and about knowing that there is nothing wrong with becoming old.
Agewell Foundation consistently raised this gap and called for population ageing to be recognised as a central development priority. Now, Paragraph 23 of the 2026 HLPF Ministerial Declaration explicitly recognises it.
#AgewellFoundation
The world was growing older, but its development priorities were not keeping pace. Older persons remained largely absent from the Sustainable Development Agenda, limiting visibility, policy attention and funding for ageing-related concerns.
Very Good News For all of us !!!
Population ageing has secured a stronger place in the Sustainable Development Agenda 👏
Agewell Foundation consistently raised this issue with the UN Secretary-General and continued to advocate for it with all concerned stakeholders.
For many elders, yoga is more than exercise.
It can mean easier movement, steadier steps, a calmer mind and one more reason to begin the day with purpose.
This International Yoga Day, let’s help every elder move, breathe and age with dignity.

Some fathers spend a lifetime making sure no one feels alone. Yet many grow old waiting for a call, a meal, or someone to sit beside them.
This Father’s Day, support an elderly father through Agewell Foundation.
Every father deserves to feel remembered.

बुजुर्गों के साथ abuse हमेशा दिखाई नहीं देता। कभी यह “चुप रहिए”, “आपको क्या पता” या उनकी आवाज़ छीन लेने में छिपा होता है।
इस World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, जागरूक बनें।
Agewell Foundation के साथ बुजुर्गों के सम्मान के लिए आवाज़ उठाएं।

A bruise may fade.
But fear, loneliness, and humiliation can stay much longer.
This World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, let’s look beyond what the eyes can see.
#AgewellFoundation#WorldElderAbuseAwarenessDay
Elder abuse is not always visible.
Sometimes, it is hidden behind closed doors.
Sometimes, it is spoken through harsh words.
Sometimes, it is felt in an ignored pain, an unpaid medicine, a controlled pension, or a silence that no one notices.
Words can make an elder feel small in their own home.
This World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, let’s remember: When we silence them again and again, we don’t just stop a conversation. We slowly take away their confidence, dignity, and sense of belonging.

Imagine opening the door to find an elder sitting alone, waiting for someone who never comes. 💔
Countless older adults spend their final years in isolation, carrying a lifetime of memories with no one to share them.
We all dream of a long, fulfilling life—but no one dreams of growing old alone and abandoned. 💔
Countless elders live without the warmth of family or support, facing loneliness and uncertainty every day.
The Sweetness of Doing Nothing
They call me Unk Pro Max,
a quiet legend in their fast world.
Gen Z with lightning thumbs
still pauses… and smiles.
The sweetness of doing nothing—
not empty, but full of hush.
I sit with my thoughts alone,
no noise, no need to explain.
Just breath and heartbeat in time,
a rhythm older than clocks.
I look up at the endless sky,
gratitude rising soft and warm.
In this gentle stillness I recharge,
reconnect the threads of me.
No rush, no masks, no roar
only wind and sun as friends.
Slowing down is not surrender,
it is a quiet return to self.
Every simple moment blooms
a leaf, a bird, pure silence.
So I stay Unc Pro Max,
content in the art of being.
Let the hurried world keep spinning…
peace waits in the sweetness of nothing.
Some mothers spend their whole lives holding families together.
And then one day, age slowly takes away the strength in their hands, the comfort in their bodies, and sometimes even the people around them.
Today, many elderly mothers spend their days waiting for someone to simply ask,
“Are you okay?”
Some struggle to walk.
Some struggle to eat.
Some struggle silently.
This Mother’s Day, your support can give an elderly mother something she truly needs — comfort, care, dignity, and the feeling that she is still loved.
A small help from you can become a wheelchair, a warm meal, an adult diaper, or basic healthcare for someone who has nobody left to depend on.
Because growing old should never feel like being abandoned.

The Disconnect in Global Ageing Discourse: RIGHTS WITHOUT ROOTS?
For over three decades, we have worked closely with older persons across India through Agewell Foundation, listening, supporting, and standing by them in their most vulnerable moments.
In all these years, not once has an older person come to us asking for their “human rights.”
What they ask for is simple:
• A reliable meal
• Affordable healthcare
• Dignity in hardship
• Basic financial security
Yet globally, ageing is often discussed through a human rights lens—in conference halls, policy forums, and summits.
While rights frameworks matter, they can feel distant from the everyday realities of millions, especially in countries like India.
Because here, survival comes first.
As per the United Nations Population Fund India Ageing Report 2023:
• 40%+ elderly live in the poorest segment
• 18.7% have no income at all
Many live day to day, with little or no social security.
In such contexts, dignity begins with basic needs.
Only then do rights like autonomy and participation truly hold meaning.
From decades of frontline work, one thing is clear:
We cannot talk about rights without addressing realities.
It’s time to focus on:
• Stronger social security
• Accessible healthcare & nutrition
• Community-based care systems
• Ground-level implementation of policies
Because real progress isn’t in declarations.
It’s in everyday dignity.
How can global frameworks better reflect real lives on the ground?

It starts with one small step.
One simple act of kindness can change a world.
And the best part?
In return, you get to feel the happiness that comes with knowing you’ve made a difference.
It’s simple, but it’s everything.
The joy of giving isn’t just for them, it’s for you too.
