I'm done with New York City.

I honestly don't understand why anyone chooses to live here.

I was born here and lived here the last 9 years. I can't think of one redeemable quality about this disgusting city anymore.

• Garbage everywhere
• Chaos and violence filled subways
• Can't go outside without smelling weed
• Every other store is now a smoke shop (I literally have 2 dispensaries on my block across the street from each other)
• Packages and mail stolen every other day
• Everything is absurdly expensive
• You lose half of every paycheck to Uncle Sam (with no idea where that money is going to)
• Landlords who couldn't give a s*** what your living conditions are like

This isn't a political thing.

This is a lived here forever and I don't get why anyone would want to live here anymore thing

Remote work is now normalized. You can take your city salary and live literally anywhere in the world. Why would you choose to live in hell?

I'll be moving out when my outrageously overpriced lease ends shortly

Honest question: why would anyone choose to live here anymore?
