My take is I’d lean towards Jozi for rental income and portfolio scale, while keeping Cape Town on the radar for selective long-term capital growth opportunities.

Lower entry price + strong occupancy + disciplined management = potential compounding.

But the asset must justify the investment. Buy the numbers, not the hype.

How does South Africa correct historical land injustice while protecting property rights, agricultural production, investment and the rule of law?

That requires facts rather than slogans.

Land reform must produce productive land, economic opportunity and secure ownership — not simply change who holds title.

And foreign governments may express their concerns, but South Africa’s land policy ultimately has to be debated and tested through South Africa’s constitutional and legal institutions.

Land is both a historical question and an economic question.

We need solutions that address both.

🇿🇦🇺🇸 USA–SOUTH AFRICA: A NEW TRAVEL FLASHPOINT

The United States has announced new visa restrictions targeting certain foreign nationals connected to South African policies involving what Washington describes as race-based discrimination, uncompensated land seizures and incitement of imminent violence against minority groups.

Importantly, this is not a blanket travel ban on South Africans.

The restrictions target specific people whom the U.S. says are responsible for, or complicit in, the policies concerned.

But politically and diplomatically, this is significant.

South Africa says its policies are part of addressing the country’s historical inequalities and advancing its constitutional order.

Washington clearly sees some of those policies very differently.

This raises a bigger question:

Where does legitimate foreign-policy pressure end and interference in another country’s domestic affairs begin?

South Africa must protect its sovereignty.

But it must also understand that its policies have consequences beyond its borders.

The answer shouldn’t be nationalist outrage or American pressure.

It should be facts, diplomacy, constitutional principles and engagement.

🇿🇼 15 SEPTEMBER — MUNHUMUTAPA DAY

Zimbabwe has a new public holiday today: Munhumutapa Day, celebrated every 15 September under Statutory Instrument 148 of 2026. It commemorates the legacy of the historic Mutapa Empire and its contribution to Zimbabwe’s heritage.

But there is an interesting coincidence:

15 September is also President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s birthday.

That has naturally sparked debate among Zimbabweans.

Is this primarily about celebrating Zimbabwe’s pre-colonial history and identity?

Or is it also about celebrating the sitting President?

Either way, perhaps the bigger opportunity is to use the day to teach our children about Great Zimbabwe, the Mutapa Empire and the history of our people.

A nation that doesn’t know its history struggles to define its future.

Happy Munhumutapa Day, Zimbabwe. 🇿🇼

@Biblicalman Romans 2 is clear - the message is clear . Don’t Judge other people. Only God can judge. A Christian shouldn’t say, “They are lost because they are Muslim/Buddhist/atheist, while I’m acceptable because I’m Christian.”

A person can sincerely practice another religion, live morally, pray regularly, serve others and pursue what they believe is truth—and still not have placed their faith in Jesus Christ.

Christianity makes an exclusive claim: salvation is through Christ.

This isn’t about saying that Muslims, Buddhists, atheists or anyone else are incapable of doing good. Of course they can—and Christians should recognize and appreciate genuine goodness wherever it is found.

The question Christianity asks is deeper:

Can our goodness reconcile us to a holy God?

Scripture’s answer is no.

We need God’s grace, and Christians believe that grace is ultimately found in Jesus Christ.

Therefore, our message should not be, “We are better than them.”

It should be:

“We too are sinners in need of a Savior.”

The ground is level at the foot of the cross.

That last point is particularly important.

Christianity doesn’t teach, “Christians are good people and everyone else is bad.

A moment of silence for the disrespect we tolerate at work…

Not because we enjoy it.

Not because we agree with it.

But because the salary must enter the account at month-end. 😭😂

Bills don’t care about your toxic manager.

Rent doesn’t care about workplace politics.

School fees don’t care about your boss’s attitude.

Sometimes you just take a deep breath, say “Noted” and continue working. 😂

May God give us the wisdom to know when to tolerate, when to speak up, and when to resign. 🙏🏾😂

Makandiwa is having an interesting September. 🇿🇼

First, Wicknell Chivayo puts US$1 million into the UFIC building project and reportedly gifts the Makandiwas luxury vehicles.

Now President Mnangagwa has pledged another US$2 million towards the planned new UFIC church in Harare.

That’s US$3 million in publicly announced support for one church project.

Then UFIC’s spokesperson gets appointed to the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe board.

None of this automatically means anything improper has happened.

But surely Zimbabweans are entitled to ask questions.

Where does religion end and political influence begin?

Should government money be used to support church construction?

And what safeguards should exist when powerful politicians, wealthy businessmen and religious leaders become closely connected?

These are legitimate questions.

Don’t attack people’s faith.

Don’t accuse people without evidence.

But don’t tell citizens to stop asking questions either.

Transparency is not persecution. Accountability is not jealousy.

Zimbabwe needs both faith and good governance. 🇿🇼

After losing my wife last year . The past 11 months have taught me some of life’s hardest, yet most valuable lessons.

Life is short. Every morning I wake up, I thank God for another day. Health comes first—because without it, so many things we chase lose their meaning.

I’ve learned to appreciate the people who genuinely show up. Some friends become more than family. Blood is not always thicker than water. Sometimes the people who choose you, stand with you and walk beside you through difficult seasons are the family God gives you.

I’ve learned I can live without sex. Sex can be transactional, but genuine love, loyalty, friendship and companionship are priceless.

I’ve learned money cannot buy happiness. But if you are blessed with the opportunity to create wealth, create generational wealth. Teach your children to save, invest wisely, work hard and understand that money is a tool—not their worth.

And perhaps the hardest lesson:

Death is the final destination for every one of us.

None of us knows how much time we have.

So live intentionally. Love deeply. Forgive. Appreciate your people. Protect your health. Build something that outlives you. Teach your children what life has taught you.

Above everything else, thank God for life, for the people who stayed, and for the lessons that changed you. 🙏🏾❤️

Life is a gift. Don’t waste it.

I lived in Windsor East from 2010 to 2023, and what I observed was largely a problem of unregulated occupancy and poor enforcement of existing bylaws.

The “space” concept became common, where people rent a space within an apartment—sometimes resulting in more than five people, or even several couples, occupying what was originally designed as a normal lounge or living area.

Then you have unscrupulous so-called estate agents who allegedly hijack flats and illegally rent them out, creating another layer of problems.

The solution isn’t complicated:

Clean up the buildings.
Enforce the bylaws.
Regulate occupancy.
Deal with illegal subletting.
Hold rogue agents accountable.

Indlu place is doing it in the area and seeing good results

Windsor East doesn’t necessarily need another grand solution.

It needs proper enforcement of the rules that already exist.

Chivayo has a point: wealth alone is not evidence of wrongdoing. If someone alleges corruption or illegality, they should produce evidence.

But Cucsman also has a legitimate point: when someone is publicly associated with exceptionally large government contracts, extraordinary wealth and very expensive gifts, public scrutiny is inevitable.
