In the 90s we sprayed this dam by helicopter with Roundup the only real way to kill water hyacinth through photosynthesis in the phloem and xylem.

We in the Department of Agriculture Resource Conservation did the job properly. We hit it hard at the start of spring when the plant was actively growing and we came back if there was any regrowth.

Then the ANC took power and immediately listened to liberal white woke professors like Dr Carien Cilliers and the rest of the green brigade who screamed that Roundup was poison ☠️

Roundup is water biodegradable and does not wipe out baby tilapia or the habitat. These professors and doctors only believed in insects and bugs “eating” the most aggressive invader plant on the planet. They called it nature’s way‼️‼️

🚨Thirty years of that green fairy tale later the dam is a dying stinking mess. Expensive estates around it have lost roughly 60 percent of their value.

All thanks to the ANC regime and their white liberal friends who thought they could control nature better than the people who actually knew how to fight the plant.
