The wedding happened. It looked beautiful on Instagram. You stayed home, paid my rent, and slept peacefully knowing you didn't spend the next 18 months paying off 12 hours of pasta and dancing. The family "drama" lasted two weeks until they found something else to be mad about.
Toxic families love to use "tradition" and "unity" as weapons to bypass your boundaries. They will call you "cheap" or "selfish" to trigger your insecurity. Don't take the bait. A request that requires you to harm your financial future isn't an invitation it's a ransom note. Real love doesn't require you to set yourself on fire to keep others warm.

The age of a president in a country like Uganda where nearly all major decisions revolve around one individual matters a great deal.

After casting his vote in Rwakitura, @KagutaMuseveni referred to journalists as “rumor mongers” and stated that the only “real” work he knows is agriculture. That mindset helps explain reckless decisions like shutting down the internet without any serious consideration of the consequences.

1. Telecom companies have lost billions in revenue from internet services and mobile money transactions. The impact trickles down to mobile money agents who have gone now five days without work or income.

2. Internet-based businesses such as SafeBoda, Faras, Glovo, and many others have lost millions.

3. Young, unemployed people who earn directly or indirectly through online work, content creation, influencing, or fully online clients have not earned a single shilling for four days.

4. Online students were affected too.

5. Online banking services were disabled. International money transfers were halted. Other essential digital financial services went offline.

6. The tourism sector, obviously, suffered immensely.

All this damage; economic, social, and personal, simply because one individual must cling to power at all costs.
