@Joshuathehippie I'd say mechanics. My story flows naturally & I usually have an idea of where things will go. If I have some special mechanics I may have to invent them on the fly as well. Disclaimer: I'm using the PbtA system usually, not D&D, which I spend more time hacking than playing 😅
