Last week, for the first time ever, we lost a player character in our D&D campaign. It took me by surprise how real & serious it felt.

Highly recommend going the #DIY #HomeAssistant route for anyone who cares about their privacy! Forgo the out-of-the-box "convenience" these corporations offer. Not only is it a fun learning experience, you also have full control over /your/ #hardware.

I wish #gamedev would include proper sunsetting plans, despite (in spite of!) those not making any money.

It's the right thing to do for those players who found their favourite game - and the devs who spent years of their lives #crafting it.

It is absolutely soul crushing to have worked on several live service #games that simply disappear when the servers shut down. Our industry sucks at preservation and it only seems to get worse.
