Children in Mrs Stonehouse's class have been investigating joining techniques with cardboard. They created flanges on tubes & tabs on walls to attach to a base. Some made slots to connect 2 cardboard pieces. The children have also been creating simple instructions for mousebots
Children in y6 enjoyed their recent trip to TGGP as part of Children Challenging Industry. They spent time talking to managers, engineers & electricians & experienced science in a real life context. It was great fun!
Recently, along with almost 300 children from schools in the area, some of our children from Y1 - Y6 performed in an all day poetry slam in Billingham. Everyone performed brilliantly & worked well as a team. Well done to our y3/4 group who came first in their category
Huge thanks to Darlington FC first team goalkeeper @LiamMcgrath_GK1 for giving up his time to join our Boys' Y5 football team in training on Friday afternoon. Along with some useful tips & practice for Ali, he joined in with Mr Goad for some drills & games. The boys loved it!👌

In the last 2 weeks, Year 6 have taken part in the first two sessions of children #ChallengingIndustry They have conducted investigations including filtering water samples
Last week, we took part in a Trust wide initiative to hold an Art week in school.
Reception/Y1 looked at Henry Matisse's mono printing & also painted using very long brushes #Art

Our wonderful Y6 children delivered the Christmas Nativity story to parents at St Mary Magdalene Church,Yarm as part of our annual Christmas Service tonight. Singing from children in Y1-Y6 added to the lovely festive atmosphere.Thank you to Rev Darren Moore. Merry Xmas everyone!
