Fixed one of the SNES consoles I'd bought a while ago!
This one had no caps and busted solder pads, so digging up a few copper traces and soldering the new caps to them fixed it
Fixed an old Xbox 360 with RROD recently. Had a faulty disc drive and overheated.
Applied some new thermal paste and refitted the rubber band that opens and closes the disc tray, works like new now!
Recently fixed a broken PS3 Slim from Facebook Marketplace. Who knew the solution would have been throwing it in the oven at 250 degrees (C) would have worked?
It's used to evenly reflow the solder on the motherboard. (after appropriate measures to protects caps from the heat)
Day: 6 Months Later?
After a long a exhausting journey the arcade cabinet is finished both functionally & aesthetically (aside from decals and degaussing it properly)
Super proud of the work @zagony and I have done on this and I look forward to kicking butt in MK2 with some pals
Almost done! No "professional" decals yet.
The CRT we had before broke, so there's a new one in it.
Sadly we have to want for the arcade chassis to arrive in a month so it'll have to be played on a monitor for now.
Day ?? (Almost two months later)
Monitor is in and working!
The degaussing cables had unattached themselves when I installed the CRT causing discoloration
