@MikeyTheWarrio1@CultureCrave to be fair, I think this would be more widely accepted if JJ didn't randomly throw in the Palpatine heritage subplot. I really liked Johnsons continuation of her being a nobody.
@AUB2AZ@MasterTainment Exactly, they saw the loud internet reaction and tried to do everything all at once. That never works, being original and thinking it out is always for the better. Like AOTC was a hated movie when it was released, ROTS did tie every thing up nicely and streamed it into the OT.
@fandommenacene1@JSPtheSecond@SCentralized@SGanschow If you're trying to say that he acted on his instinct, even that far into his career. It's not like he has had lots of fall backs..
He literally says I acted upon instinct and before I realised it was too late, because it already happened, regarding the vision becoming true.
@JSPtheSecond@SCentralized@SGanschow 1. The moment Vader threatened Leia, Luke goes mental -> same in TLJ but vision. In both he realised right he was wrong.
2. Luke did save them in the end by fighting Kylo and giving them time to retreat.
3. Holdo maneuveur is because they crashed right before hyperspace.
@AUB2AZ@MasterTainment Finally not just a pure hate take, completely agree with this (I did personally quite like TLJ), but the original Duel of the Fates plan looked so good.
@BKIsigq@MasterTainment My guy Dave Filoni is literally in charge if Lucasfilm, maybe the number 1 guy to have soul in Star Wars. While I do think his live action stuff isn't the best, he definitely has soul.
@bluekunt@keegan23122@1610SPlDEY Like he swung with killer intent at Vader in RTJ. He's always been like this. It's exactly the same, besides the reason for it. He swung with intent, hesitates/realises, calms down.
@afatswedishcat@Ancomraven2 Yeah writing was an issue trough the whole trilogy (not that the OT and PT didn't have this issue), but I did find Rian's TLJ, the most original and refreshing of the 3 movies. TROS just really suffered under the change back to Abrams imo. And imo TFA was a bit boring unlikeTLJ
