If you're considering AKs, here's what you need to know:
1st time buyers: stick to PSA or Arsenal. Anything century arms international touches is liable to explode so just... dont. Polish AKs are usually solid, but some importer/builders for em are ass, so its a dice roll.
If you like ak for range toy, great, your first purchase will do just fine. If you like ak for worky work, then you need to look at either customizing an Arsenal yourself, or dip into the Semi-Custom market. Meridian does good work.
If you are a true ak enthusiast, look into rifle dynamics or fuller phoenix. Consider learning to build ak.
Do not try to modernize or fix AK, embrace its flaws. Otherwise you just end up in the same trap as me: spending years developing custom parts for what is basically just an overly expensive AR18/Galil hybrid. Just buy an AR-18 of some derivative or another, at that point.
Notes on caliber: 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 were both obsolete decades ago. They have crap BC, dont expand properly, and are inconsistent as fuck. Their only merits were they were cheap. They are not cheap any more so don't bother.
If you want 7.62 but better in every way, get one in .300 Blackout. If you want 5.45 but better in every way, get it in 5.56. If you want the .30 cal vibes or, even better, .30 cal reach with better performance than either .300 BO or 5.56, or want a short working gun for vehicles, then get a 12.5" 6.5Grendel.
Cities burned and dozens were killed for George Floyd, who overdosed on the fentnyl he was dealing, after pointing a gun at a pregnant woman's belly.
DEI, equity, two tier policing... the world is in a state that makes this definition of altruism look naive. Ayn Rand was right.
@kbuckpow@klara_sjo I'm inclined to agree that stopping is also retarded, however I don't discount the possibility of him having a good reason. Maybe he got cut off by three people in a row. I've seen it happen.
Still doesn't justify ramming him, though.
You're just loudly being ignorant.
The point of the zipper merge is to prevent traffic from being backed up in a single lane. Merging early is actually what backs up traffic for miles.
I used to live in PA, and there was a stretch of the 81 South after Nanticoke that reduced from two lanes to one. Passing through the half mile of construction would take 45 minutes because it was two and a half miles of bumper to bumper in a single lane because people kept merging early, then blocking anyone who used the other lane.
If you wanna merge early and take longer to get somewhere, be my guest, but dickheads blocking merges because of ego are cancer. Both lanes are there for a reason. Use it.
@walker_qui44990@klara_sjo You might hate roundabouts now, but get good enough to powerslide through em and I guarantee you'll love em.
I've got two by my house that'll just take a beat up old nissan and drift through em at 3am π€
@kbuckpow@klara_sjo It's not your job to intentionally block people from merging in either.
You're piloting 2 1/2 tons of steel and plastic more lethal than any gun. Don't be an irresponsible, negligent jackass.
@KareMHaret@DocStrangelove2 The hooking mechanism is called a Sear.
But in the case of the video, the barrel was just too hot and started cooking off rounds as soon as they chambered. Pretty common with machine guns.
Even in individual v individual or similar cases, the state still rules in favor of itself in the overwhelming majority of cases, just in a roundabout way. Intellectual Property law is a great example, especially after the Digital Millennium Act. The court never dismisses a case because the law it is based on is arbritary, capricious, and/or downright predatory, despite that being well within the purview of both judge and jury.
