@TheParkheadF Modern turnstiles with QR scanners that actually work and staff that are adequately trained and able to communicate , to assist with safe entry to the game for fans with valid tickets.
An organised, cohesive press. Tenacity and desire without the ball. A belief in their task. Winning the ball back because they were desperate to hurt the opponent with their identity.
Patterns of play. Intentional overloads. Clever, unpredictable rotations. God we had it good
There is not a single club in Europe would've ever entertained a management team consisting of MON (retired), Maloney (sacked twice and pathways manager), Fozzy (sacked) and Stephen McManus (1st time coaching mens football).
We're meant to be a high level club. What a laugh.
Did we play 4 different formations in one game?
2026. A group of "world class, elite, professional, high level coaches" are effectively lobbing jobby after jobby at the wall and hoping it sticks. What a time to be a Celtic Fan.
Clueless with the ball. Hopeless without the ball. No patterns of play. No system. Players have zero belief in what they're being asked to do. Zero fight or desire.
Dressing room looks fractured beyond repair. Coaching staff and "Manager" have to walk. Unthinkable if they stay
O'Neill says there's not much between the teams.
He doesn't have the fight in him anymore, nor should he. Has to walk tonight. Maloney, Fozzy, McManus and anyone else involved in the backroom team need emptied as well. We cannot carry on like this. Worse coached team in the UK
There's so so much to say about Celtic as a club. The board, the management staff, the players. Where do you even begin.
2026 and we we're launching balls up to 35 year old James Forrest playing ST, to knock down second balls to players who are 30 yards away from him.
UNREAL
@StaceyDevlinx Based on evidence, zero lessons have been learned. Wake up call, after wake up call, and the coaching staff continue to hit the snooze button.
I'm predicting a genuine battering tomorrow.
5-1 Rangers.
"We don't tend to be questioned when we win"...
So everyone voicing concerns about defensive structure, wide open midfield, inability to defend our own box, all after wins early this season just didn't happen. Behave.
Martin O'Neill has apologised for being "tetchy" when asked about Celtic team selections and formations.
"I can get a bit tetchy now and again. Sometimes I have to apologise for that.
"But overall, what I did say was that we don't seem to be questioned when we win the football matches. But yeah, everybody has a right to ask.
"I think I said to Connie McLaughlin last night, I don't think that my job an hour beforehand is to just give out a reason for every single selection thing I make. I don't think that's ever been the case.
"But at the end of it all, yeah, I'm responsible for team selection. I'm responsible for the tactics. And of course I should be questioned."
Asked for his take on the general reaction to the last two defeats, he added: 2I don't know really what the reaction is.
"Honestly, I don't, because I'm not on social media and I don't read."
Martin O'Neill is lucky the fan media ban is still in place.
He loses the rag when asked a valid question by Connie. God help him if he was being asked actual hard hitting questions from fan media that are fed up listening to the dotting auld granda patter every 4 days.
@20MinuteTims Maybe he picks the starting XI. But the main suggestion is that the stylistic identity of the team is being heavily influenced by the coaching staff. Not MON.
You said it yourselves- "Martin keeps saying he wants to play a different system - who's stopping him?"
@jhnmcgnly I just refuse to buy this party line. The game has evolved far beyond what managers of Martin's age have the capacity to understand.
Its a chess match now. Tactics, gameplan, identity, patterns of play, off-ball structure, overloads, rotations. The coaching staff are in charge
@RussellBoyce1 Maloney is already the manager in terms of setting the tactical identityof the team. Change on the park only comes from a full clear out and a new manager bringing in his own coaching staff.
I was castigated for saying McGregor was the main problem a week ago.
You're part of a gaslighting psy-op if you don't see that he is the route cause of our midfield fragility. A senior player should ID this and rectify it on the park if its happening in your area. End of story.
