@lavosaurus I stayed lower east side. It was nice but found myself wanting to trek out to Brooklyn a lot. Splitting time sounds good in theory (subway otherwise super easy to use and links to most places). Def research your accom hardcore. Mine looked decent online, but had no ceiling IRL

@walnutpal Nice, that’s probably the model I’d suggest. There’s other manufacturers too but these probably most closely tick the easy/convenient box.

@walnutpal They'll all have a steam wand. The cheaper models will use one boiler or thermoblock, so you can only ever make coffee or steam milk. The dual models will allow you to do both at the same time (which is what you don't need). Having the wand itself adds no extra cost.

@walnutpal Can be a little chunky but not that bad. Having a separate high quality burr grinder is more 'pro' but they get very pricy and it's not necessarily practical for the home. Maybe go have a look at them in store and you'll get a vibe. It'd roughly fill the spot you have.

@walnutpal If you want to go full manual: Breville make a few models with an integrated burr grinder. Would save on bench space and keep things tidy-ish. You don't need one of the more expensive dual boiler models because you don't drink milk.
