This is why sneering at "not all men" stuff was not an entirely great idea: The result of that was always going to be terminally online nurrotics being unable to function because now they think men doing normal stuff is inherently creepy if they get "uncomfortable."
to be honest, the cold war *does* feel like a fake conflict. two superpowers with opposing aims, "individualist" vs. "collectivist", harnessing bullshit super-bombs that preclude all-out war so we get intrigue plots instead? lazy writing
This is how you push through universally unpopular legislation. You start with attacks on groups most people don't care about (sex workers), under the guise of something many support (protecting kids). Then you keep increasing the heat until the frog sits in boiling water.
How Trump could have won:
>Don't terror bomb Iran, focus on nuclear facilities
>Demand Netanyahu not to be a retard with Lebanon
>Don't siege Tehran, take it immediately
>Zurge rush Khuzestan to cut off oil
>Ally with the Kurds against the Iranians
>ignore the Gulf
Gendering bathrooms back in the 1800s really broke peoples brains huh. Like what are you talking about. Have you ever seen someone naked in a bathroom before. You say the problem is urinals do you know how urinals work they dont exactly give a show to the rest of the room
@themostazezo This applies to any group tbh. Happier people with more irl friends don’t spend as much time on the internet, so on average every group is represented online by its most miserable and/or insufferable elements. People as a whole are almost always better than what you see online
@SJWheeljack We need to just do away with the idea that “punching up” is social activism.
1) bc they are never punching “up” (putting a white in front of “gays” or “women” doesn’t make it less homophobic or sexist)
2) it achieves nothing
I do think it's interesting how a core -ism of social justice ethos is, "when an XYZ person tells you something is racist/sexist/xenophobic, you listen," but that rule seems to get mysteriously suspended when gay men call out homophobic depictions from our ostensible allies.
There's been too much rehashing 2014 Tumblr era woke discourse on here recently. Next week we're gonna be arguing over whether or not it's appropriate for white people to drink boba tea
