55 years ago today our village was struck by a disaster, that should never have happened. 116 children and 28 adults were stolen from their families. Our thoughts today as always are with the families who lost loved ones and the survivors throughout our village.

54 years ago, the village we serve, was torn apart. Today, like every year, we remember the children and teachers who never made it home from school on 21st October 1966, and everyone else affected by the events of that awful day. We will never forget. #Aberfan
