Kagame is facing growing financial and diplomatic pressure from his Western partners. The Committee recognized important milestones, including the signing of the concession agreement for the Lobito Corridor, and explored investment opportunities for U.S. companies in the mining, processing, and energy sectors. We look forward to turning the Strategic Partnership Agreement’s commitments into lasting investments that create jobs, strengthen supply chains, and bring shared prosperity to the American and Congolese peoples.
