Six years since I applied to my own advert for a houseshare. Still remember feeling amazed at the speed of the response of Lewis, 23, from my initial application - before reading the very same message I had just posted on the application, in my personal inbox.
The British Interior Ministry says Uygur and Piker are barred from entering the UK "based solely on an assessment of the potential risk an individual may pose to UK society” ... That is completely absurd. @Keir_Starmer should reverse this idiotic decision and let them speak.
Bruno Fernandes's assists were vital to Man United's success this season 🅰️👑
No player in Premier League 𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 comes close to the 24 points he won through creativity alone 🤯
Which state actor is "imminent"? The republic of imminent? Also pretty sure everyone is trying to deal with you, Iran. And no need for caps, you messy bitch.
@markstinchcombe Good point and hadn't thought of that. What if there's an injury? I dont even fancy O'Reilly to step in, either. Would get exposed in that position.
Hope you're well, chief.
@Nigel_Farage I'd love to have known if you would have bought the house without knowing about the 5 mill donation, an amount you called a "few extra quid" to Harry Cole.
I too would start the process of buying a house if I knew I had 5 milly coming in. Could always back out.
Why is that being taken seriously as a reporting line?
EXC: Nigel Farage bought a £1.4m house in cash shortly after the £5m gift from Christopher Harborne, @AliFortescue reveals
Reform say the offer and the purchase “process” began before the gift.
Reform spox: “The relevant chronology is straightforward. The offer and purchase process for the property commenced before the gift. Mr Farage had already passed proof of funds and the relevant checks before receiving the gift. The purchase was therefore already proceeding independently of it.”
@CourtneeOneill No I agree, for sure! I'm not even denying that Arsenal have also been hard done by in plenty of refereeing decisions. I guess I'm just annoyed at the consistency and pundits not understanding fan annoyance.
Nobody suggesting Raya wasn't fouled, though plenty of other fouls this season more clear and obvious that werent overturned (DCL flying elbow on Yoro?)
But the punditry class sneeringly suggesting it was a slam dunk foul while ignoring everything else is extremely grating.
Rule change idea... If a goal is awarded and it goes to VAR, there should be no other fouls on attacking players. If there are, overrule goal but give penalty.
We seem to be trying to find ways of ruling out goals and stealing moments.
Refs need to get back to making calls.
The one that is clawing at me is suggesting Raya was at the point of play so that's why it was given.
The role of Trossard pushing Pablo into Raya while staying under his offending arm has to be examined. Rice molding clay from behind also just ignored.
The Premier League have had that coming all season. Have encouraged a league built on set-pieces by letting everything go at corners all season, then decide in the most decisive game of the season they’ve probably been doing it wrong for the last eight months
@adrianjclarke@tomrenniesoccer@danroeb New rule suggestion. To rule out a goal, you must check for other potential defensive fouls to clear that first.
Raya may have been the key player in that moment. But who is to say Mavrapanos or Todibo don't get the ball without being clearly held?!
@JohnBennettBBC Arsenal have generated several extra points using these exact tactics. Nobody is arguing the question of whether it's a foul. But the lack of consistency on these decisions is farcical.
I am no FIFA apologist and think Infantino is a general scourge on the game.
But what is she on about? If you don't want your state to be hosting the World Cup, pass it on to a state that will. Also...$48 million for extra transport staff?
It's naked profiteering.
We inherited an agreement where FIFA is providing $0 for transportation to the World Cup.
And while NJ TRANSIT is stuck with a $48 million bill to safely get fans to and from games, FIFA is making $11 billion.
I’m not going to stick New Jersey commuters with that tab for years to come.
FIFA should pay for the rides. But if they don’t – I’m not going to let New Jersey get taken for one.
