And you are correct - we want students to have an annual well visit with their provider. But we also recognize the limited availability providers have at this time of the year.

SC DHEC will be holding Back to School vaccine clinics from 9:30- 4:00 on Thursday, 8/3 and Friday, 8/4, 2023 at the Lexington County Health Department, 1070-B South Lake Dr. No appt is necessary during these clinics. Please bring your student's current vaccination records.

Jenna Wells, at DES, has been a school nurse for Lexington One for 10 years, serving elementary and middle schools.

She is an advocate for the profession of school nursing, assists with training new nurses in the district and serves as a trusted mentor. She shares her knowledge and helps school nurses strive for improvement.
