In case anyone's been wondering why they're being melted by the Hemlok faster than any other gun in Apex. The Hemlok has the highest headshot multiplier out of all the automatic weapons. Jumping from 22 to the body to 31 to the head. The Rampage has a smaller headshot multiplier

We just pushed a patch that includes the following Octane changes:

🛠️ADJUSTED

-Removed 'Fortified' from Stim Surge
-Reduced the speed boost given by Stim (still an increase from pre-27.0)

Dev note: We held back an Octane nerf from 28.0 because wanted to 'wait and see' how Fuse's rework launch would impact Octane's recent spike. Recently, looking at Valkyrie, we saw that Octane's rework naturally brought her back down to earth, with little nerfing of Valkyrie required.

Over the first week of the season, Octane is still being picked and winning fights at a rate we consider unhealthy. That is the data we needed to action on nerfing what we consider the 'spikiest' elements of Octane's recent update, while preserving most of the new utility his rework brings.

-View Cinematic button on Nintendo Switch 2 now shows the correct cinematic
-Completing Road to Ranked Challenges now correctly unlock Ranked
-Champion Squad status will now correctly reset after the squad loses or no longer has the highest score from previous matches

Reverted Octane and Horizon nerfs to intended pre-28.0 state
Octane:
-Reduced Swift Mend max healing from 9 to 6
-Reduced Swift Mend min healing from 3 to 2

Horizon:
-Reduced max Newt Scoot time from 5 to 2.5
-Reduced Newt Scoot max speed from 700 to 550
