I just finished reading the entirety of Chainsaw Man to see for myself how everything plays out, and honestly, I thought the ending was very fitting. As a whole, I really enjoyed the series.
One of my Patreon members recommended the anime movie 100 Meters, a story showcasing the sport of track running and the development of two young athletes over the course of many years. Really enjoyed it, very nice to look at artistically as well.
Another series I checked out was You're Under Arrest (OVAs), an action comedy focusing on a pair of policewomen. Really entertaining watch, and it's always fun going back to that classic 90's style.
I've been watching more anime lately during my work breaks. One series I started is the 2000's run of Black Jack, an episodic medical drama that somehow ranges from being silly to driving me to tears 😅
@Fr0zt_ed I would consider Progressive to be all flash, no substance, but Alternative seems to somewhat understand what made the original good. I have a little hope for Shoegaze since it's supposed to be a sequel to that, but in the end, I don't think any of these were really necessary
@Super5211 It isn't romance, but Higurashi would definitely fit the fucked up label, and has some great twists as well while carrying a general sense of dread 🤔
@Super5211 As far as romance/drama, that's tricky. With the way it deconstructs everything, School Days is a pretty unique experience, and I'm curious to find similar series myself 😅 There is the sequel game Shiny Days, but I can't currently comment on it.
