@graccemalone This is a great video showing devices and techniques to help with a spinal cord injury. Any possible thing to help those who are injured to continue a quality life is so important.
@graccemalone This is a great video representing an individual who has Parkinsons disease. He has a lot of the typically symptoms individuals experience like loss of coordination and inability to perform regular life activities.
@docgoble After this individual uses the frontal cortex to make the decision to perform the spin/hop, he uses the cerebellum to maintain his coordination and balance as his feet land back on the floor. This happens at about 0:04.
@docgoble At about 0:07, the quarterback McCarthy, uses the vestibular system to stay balanced while throwing to Wilson off of one foot. Also, at about 0:10, Wilson uses his vestibular system to find balance and coordination in order to catch the ball around the defender.
@EmmaStryd@X Hi Emma, your post immediately caught my eye because it involved the temporal muscles. My initial thought process regarding EMGs relates more closely to body movement. Your post allowed me to gain a more open minded perspective of what EMGs can be used for.
I'm taking #EXS3030@oaklanduSHS with @DocGoble because I love learning about and understanding the scientific basis of human body movement. I believe this class will enhance my knowledge and provide me with more information I am soon able to apply in my career.
I’m excited to announce that I’m going to be continuing my academic and athletic career at Michigan State University! Go Green!! @MSU_WBasketball@SuzyMerchant
