Haven't talked about it because I keep forgetting to, but I have a poem being published in a local collection soon.
I keep feeling like I didn't write enough in 2025 but I actually wrote a total of 22 poems so Im doing more than I think.
And this will be my 2nd published poem
i find it extremely odd, even on sapphic stan twt, that a lot of y'all claim to love famous milfs/older women and find it endearing watching interviews where they'll discuss not letting age rob them of what makes them happy but will simultaneously shame anyone over 25 on here
It's already happening now.
Something I realized during my time volunteering:
All the upper middle class (or richer) kids get Nintendo and other retail games Day 1.
Anyone middle class or below are stuck playing Roblox and Fortnite.
When Paradox Interactive removed Surviving Mars from my Xbox library (I didnt have it downloaded) to force people to buy the remaster, I still had the game on another storefront on PC! Which was great because there was no way I would ever rebuy a game I already bought.
I have PC games on Steam, on GOG, on Epic Games, on EA, on Amazon Games, on https://t.co/7okrMLrmBf, even through the Xbox store.
"Why are digital PC games different than digital console games?"
I have different games on different storefronts because I only buy during sales!
I'm able to do that on PC! There's a major Steam Summer sale happening right now! I love shopping for a deal.
Some of these games I got for free. Most I got for 50% or more off!
I can't do that as often on console and most of the time, PC sales are better than console sales.
"You buy digital games anyway why do you care?"
My nigga in Christ Sony just removed over 500 movies from people who bought it. This isn't just about options. It's about ownership
They don't want you to own anything. They want you to be competent dependant on them. They want to squeeze every single drop of money and time from you as they can.
The only way you can combat it is if you have some conviction and vote with your wallet. But the corporations know what i know which is alot of peop are weak willed and won't stand up for what they don't want because they're afraid of conflict or being uncomfortable.
People don’t realize how much this could change the gaming market.
When physical games disappear, it doesn’t just affect collectors. It affects the entire ecosystem around gaming.
Retro game stores? Many of them survive because people still buy, sell, and trade physical games. As physical media declines, some of those stores will have a much harder time staying open.
Collector’s Editions? If everything becomes digital, what’s the incentive? Are people really going to spend $200+ for a few digital cosmetics and a downloadable license? A huge part of what made those editions special was owning something tangible.
And don’t think retro prices won’t be affected. As fewer physical games are produced, the older ones become even more desirable. Supply goes down, demand goes up, and prices climb even higher.
This isn’t just about preferring discs over downloads. It’s about ownership, preservation, accessibility, local game stores, collectors, and the future of gaming as a whole.
There’s so much more at stake than people realize, and I don’t think the long term impact is good. #supportphysicalmedia
Gamers hate when anybody talks about real politics but capitalism is working the exact way it was designed and is going to price you out of gaming. You will own nothing. You will not be able to afford even borrowing the license. The companies making games are literally dying.
I would rather invest in a $2K PC that will let me play anything modern with free online plus let me emulate a backlog of the last 45 years of gaming versus buying a 1k PlayStation where I won’t have any control of owning my games and have to pay to play with my friends.
I hate when people say it’s ableist to be against GenAI. Do you know what will be a mass disabling event? What already IS a mass disabling event? Climate change. You know what’s speeding climate change up? Data centers. Don’t use disabled people to defend your bullshit.
The digital-only crowd who thinks this doesn’t effect them haven’t realized that this decision gives PlayStation a monopoly to price games however they want, as there are no competing stores on PlayStation and there won’t be second-hand sales. This hurts everyone in the long run.
