Watch this and you might think you're watching films about Uganda in 2026. Except that these documentaries are about Uday Hussein, Saddam Hussein's son who was known for his excessive cruelty, abuse of women, erratic behavior, and gross human rights abuses- including torture, rape, and murder. Like Museveniβs brutal son, Uday employed extreme sadism, erratic violence, and total impunity to commit severe atrocities and terror campaigns against the people, until his death in 2003. Hoping that he would succeed his father, he murdered, kidnapped and jailed opponents - often times in his private prisons and torture chambers. Today, his name lies where it truly belongs - in the dungeon of history. History does not repeat itself - only fools repeat history, because they never learn anything from it.

A law lecturer, a former Minister of Ethics and Integrity, and an advocate for equality and womenβs empowerment has been sent to prison by a young magistrate who has benefited from her work directly or indirectly, well knowing that she is unwell and is on made-up charges.Β

As a lawyer for womenβs rights, having served her country for decades, wrote articles on advocacy, the pain of seeing her being treated the way she was today is indescribable.

Meet Atim Sheilah Gloria, the magistrate that refused to hear Miria Matembeβs bail application.
The world needs to know more about these shameless regime apologists.
I feel ashamed, and I wonder how shameless one must be to stoop so low and targets a respected senior womenβs champion like Hon. Miria Matembe. This is very wrong by any standard.

Uganda versus Miria Matembe? I am not among those Ugandans on whose behalf you claim to be pressing charges against Hon. Miria Matembe. I hold her in the highest respect.
