Sabi ng Tribunal sa 2016 ruling nito na Iligal ang pananakop at pagaangkin ng China sa mahigit 500,000 square kilometers ng ating EEZ at Continental Shelf na ayon sa United Nations Convention on the Law of the Seas o UNCLOS.

Dapat magkaisa tayo bilang Senado sa pag depensa sa Arbitral Ruling ng Tribunal na pumabor sa atin at binalewala ang 9 Dash line claim ng China. Dapat din suportahan natin lahat ang posisyon ng ating Dept of National Defense at ng Armed Forces of the Philippines laban sa iligal panghihimasok at mga kilos ng China sa West Philippine Sea.

MANGROVE AREA SA ILOILO CITY

Ibinahagi ni dating Iloilo mayor Jerry Treñas ang aerial shot ng malawak na mangrove area sa Iloilo City.

Ayon kay Treñas, dapat pangalagaan ang likas na yaman na ito bilang tugon sa lumalalang epekto ng climate change.

“We must protect this natural asset as we confront the growing challenges of climate change. Mangroves have long been nature’s fortress for our coastal communities, shielding them from flooding, erosion, and pollution, while providing critical habitat for wildlife and contributing to climate mitigation,” saad niya.
