This morning on Meet the Press, Treasury Secretary Bessent was asked three times whether Ukraine is an ally of the United States. Three times he dodged the question.
He should be ashamed of himself.
Ukrainians are defending their homes, children, and democracy against Putin's brutal invasion.
My grandfather went off to fight in World War II because Americans understood that when a dictator invades a free country, we stand with the people defending it. That same conviction has made America strong for many decades and should continue to guide us now.
So I'll answer the question Secretary Bessent wouldn't. Yes, Ukraine is our ally.
And we must not turn our back on them.

President Trump: β4 long years of crooked Joe Bidenβ¦ they got less than $1 trillion new investment in the US.β
βIn a little more than one yearβ¦ we have secured commitments and money POURING IN of more than $21 trillion.β
π¨ VICE PRESIDENT VANCE: "Donald Trump HATES when people make money off of him."
"He HATES the idea that somebody would come in and say, I'm going to give you a meeting with the President and I'm going to get rich because I gave you access to the President. The President would NEVER tolerate that behavior." π―
"If somebody's selling access to the White House. That's disgusting and despicable and they should suffer consequences."
This comes after Trump forced out Kimberly Guilfoyle amid allegations she asked a GOP donor to cover her $100,000 American Express bill in exchange for access to "Trump world"
She resigned as Ambassador to Greece days ago, after Trump and Rubio wanted her gone
Russell Fry has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election as U.S. Representative from South Carolinaβs 7th Congressional District β HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! President DONALD J. TRUMP
I love being myself, enjoying the little things, and finding happiness in every new day. Sometimes, a simple smile can say more than a thousand words π
π¨ WOW: The legacy media is going after Trump's new press secretary because she didn't pass the bar. She's not a lawyer, and she doesn't need to be.
Katie Zacharia: "I'm being hired as White House press secretary, not White House counsel."
She called it what it is. The media "want to be distracted from the major wins that President Trump is making for America."
In her first week, she's already been to Alaska, Arizona, and Montana with the President. She says the crowds show that "America loves President Trump."
The media is attacking the messenger because it can't beat the message.
Reporter: "Deliberate attacks on civilian infrastructure violate the Geneva Conventions and international law."
Trump: "Whose side are you on?"
Reporter: "I'm with The New York Times."
Trump: "The failing New York Times. Circulation is going down."
Reporter: "Are you concerned that your threat to bomb power plants and bridges amounts to war crimes?"
Trump: "No, not at all. These are disturbed people. Be quiet. You've lost your credibility. You're fake."
Elon Musk is pouring millions into Republican political groups as the Texas Senate race becomes a half-billion-dollar advertising battle.
@Brooketaylortv reports $502 million in combined ad spending and reservations across the primary runoff and general election, with Republicans outspending Democrats $368 million to $134 million.
Fox News confirms Musk has contributed at least $276 million to Republican super PACs and organizations in just three months, including $10 million to a group backing Ken Paxton.
Press Secretary Katie Zacharia reveals she had less than 24 hours to prepare for her first White House press briefing, saying she stepped up to highlight President Trumpβs accomplishments for the American people:
βI was given the offer last Wednesday, or I got a phone call last Wednesday. I flew out to D.C. on Thursday. I had a meeting on Friday, was offered the job, flew home to California on Saturday, flew back to Washington on Sunday, and was asked to start on Monday, Sean, which was Columbus Day, so it was a federal holiday. And I was asked to have a press briefing at 9:30 in the morning on Tuesday. So what I feel is that I really stepped up to the plate to do the press conference, Sean, with very little prep time. I received briefing materials on Tuesday morning, and I went to deliver all of the great results that President Trump is delivering for the American people that are not often spread in the national media. So I took it as an opportunity for people to know what heβs doing for Americans and how hard heβs working.β
Do you hate fraud?
If so, Iβm calling on you to join me in taking the pledge to protect Americans from fraudsters, by doing everything in your power to ensure that:
1. Vulnerable Americans, such as the elderly, indigent, and disabled, are protected from fraudsters who seek to prey on them.
2. Taxpayer-funded programs serve law-abiding Americans, not illegal aliens or fraudsters.
3. Taxpayer-funded benefits are not used by fraudsters to buy mansions or luxury cars.
4. Public agencies and officials work tirelessly and aggressively, coordinating at all levels of government, to stop fraud before payments go out the door.
5. Fraudsters face justice for their crimes in a court of law. Convicted fraudsters will be imprisoned and barred from ever receiving another penny of taxpayer dollars.
6. Illegal alien fraudsters are promptly arrested, prosecuted, imprisoned, and deported, never able to take advantage of Americansβ generosity again.
BREAKING: A judge rules Alex Murdaugh's defense team can independently test DNA evidence ahead of his retrial in the murders of his wife and son.
Murdaugh was convicted in 2023 of killing his wife and son, but the South Carolina Supreme Court overturned those convictions after finding jury tampering by a former court clerk.
His retrial is set for next April.
