Can confirm this is true. Opened my window briefly on a warm day last summer. I'm posting this from HMP Pentonville where I'm serving 15 years to life.
Hopefully this public service warning will be seen positively when I'm up for parole.
The Brits actually have laws keeping people from fully opening their windows.
A new level of ridiculous.
They aren't allowed to open their own windows.
An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training.
In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table.
The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. The final remains scheduled for Saturday 23 May, with the kick-off time to be confirmed.

If I'd been caught spying and my entire defence rested on the idea that no harm had been done, I'd probably admit to spying on some of the games I'd not won too.

Great news, are you going to increase public sector wages to compensate?
If not, public sector work becomes less appealing and pushes people into the private sector. Fewer doctors, nurses etc as a result. How are we making up the shortfall? Increased immigration?
Defined benefit public sector pensions are the British state’s second largest liability.
They’re about £2.4 trillion - around 100 per cent of GDP.
The old parties have ducked this for years.
Most of the media won’t talk about it either.
But Reform UK will not dodge this mammoth issue.
Richard Tice has already announced that a Reform would close Local Government Pension Schemes to new entrants.
And today Reform UK launched a review of whether new entrants for any defined benefit scheme should be permitted to such schemes.
Reform UK have already announced £40bn of yearly savings.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be saying more about the true cost of the Boriswave and unskilled migration we’ve had - and how Reform will stop it blowing a hole in the country’s finances.
And we will commit to more savings in the coming months.
It’s because we are the only the party with a plan to cut wasteful spending that we can credibly commit to keeping the triple lock.
So, yes: we’ll balance the books.
We just won’t do it on the backs of British people who’ve paid in their whole life. Instead, we’ll save tens of billions by resetting Government spending so it puts the British people – and only the British people – first.
Politics is about choices.
And we choose the British people.
We will every time.
Slightly odd quirk that the biggest proponents of the state pension/triple lock are the exact same people who insist they hate "socialism".
Too dense to know what socialism is? Or quietly making an exception to favour a high-turnout voting demographic?
🚨 WATCH: Robert Jenrick says younger people want their parents and grandparents to have a "decent retirement"
"A lot of people who have pretty comfortable lives seem to want to take away a decent state pension from people who are finding life actually difficult"
And I know this isn't really tactical analysis, but the pitch looked the size of Texas when we didn't have the ball, and the size of my back bedroom when we had it
Not seen as tame a donation of 3 points as that in a long time.
Somehow went 1-0 up without ever threatening, then showed zero match awareness to actually see it out. Equaliser comes from us playing keep-ball in tight areas on half-way with 8 players up the pitch.

Is there an explanation for why professional footballers every so often lose control of the ball when they're just standing with it doing nothing? Like, doesn't happen often but happens way more than it feels like it should
I fully agree with this. You can't play test cricket without a solid amount of recent bowling in first class cricket.
As such, I would expect Pat Cummins to be left out in Adelaide.
🗣️ “How can those bowlers go into a game knowing,
a) I can own my stock ball, and
b) I’m going to be able to do it spell after spell, day after day”

We’ve discussed this before Dale I know, but I will never understand why you guys don’t just make voluntary over payments now if you’re so keen to pay more…. 🤷♀️
