Find a partner who gets excited over your professional accomplishments even if they don’t really understand the significance behind them. I can’t wait to give back that same energy.

As a gay man with student debt, I am stressed. It is fear inducing to see the federal government viewing our well-being as less valuable than a belief system.

Sending all the internship applicants in clinical, counseling, and school psychology positive vibes on this match day eve. May the odds ever be in your favor.
Seriously, upper year cohorts hold so much wisdom and advice. Could not recommend communicating with them more. Honestly one of my favorite parts of my program, and probably one of its greatest strengths.
End of first semester and cohort(s) appreciation post! Finishing the first semester of my PhD confirmed I made the right choice for myself, yet I still couldn’t have done it without the support of my fabulous cohort and mentor. Also, upper year cohorts are the BEST resource ever!
I started a Clinical Psych PhD for very specific reasons, BUT my MS in counseling provided great clinical training and career paths. I highly recommend that undergrads explore alternatives to Clinical Psych PhDs for both clinical work and research work!
Hi friends! As grad app season (and sweather weather!) is upon us again, I just wanted to acknowledge the difficulties in this process for those who are applying. Barriers are especially salient to those with historically underrepresented identities.
I am SO glad that @universityofri has a graduate student union to advocate for our wellbeing. I strongly encourage applicants to consider this when looking at schools/programs.
