@CarlosDanfango @_Tom_Henderson_ Oh sorry my mistake. One of the rumors that Tom leaked last year was that 2042 started off as a battle Royale game. I'm not sure how much better the game could've been with the experienced developers if you take that into account! I'm hopeful the new devs can bring it back 🙏

@CarlosDanfango @_Tom_Henderson_ Its unfair to blame just the developers for how battlefield 2042 launched. It's something DICE as a whole need to share the blame for. When an unrealistic release date is set, quality or scope needs to be compromised to deliver on time. Same with dev on anything

@vPeaceMakerrv @_Tom_Henderson_ I wasn't excusing DICE for launching the game broken - but I think it would be better for them to both fix 2042 and incorporate the new game their planning on releasing next year, rather than have another shaky launch in 2023 and for us to have two broken games

@mattmaclock @_Tom_Henderson_ With enough time and patience developers can deliver! It's just a question on whether they can fix it before players refuse to return to the game. Same question was there with cyberpunk; alot of their devs left after launch too but the patch was well received on release

@_Tom_Henderson_ The end game for 2042 should look something similar to the Halo: MCC where players choose the Battlefiled experience they want and EA could leverage the success of portal to retain player count. Allowing 2042 to be played on the portal maps would be an easy win for them now.

@_Tom_Henderson_ DICE usually does a great job of fixing games after launch- the games become so smooth after 1 year that the smart decision would be to build on the game and continue to release new maps or modes as an expansion. Would help them avoid the legacy feature criticisms

@TC_Shauny Would it be possible to introduce a way to disable matchmaking with players using keyboard input? That way PC players can still benefit from improved matchmaking times but won't give them competitive advantage.
