But if we go down the proposed nuclear route (or even stay on coal) and let’s keep it simple and say 1 in 2 cars in Aus eventually become EVs...

1) We save billions on oil imports 💰 2) Boost economic activity (increased mining of lithium and uranium or coal) 📈 3) Achieve greater economies of scale with nuclear power, lowering costs ⚡ 4) Strengthen national defence by reducing foreign oil dependence 🛡️

Thinking about EVs in Australia 🇦🇺: We currently import all cars and most fuel. Fair enough, we tried car manufacturing, but due to a small market, high labour costs, and AUD appreciation because of the mining boom, it wasn't competitive.
