For anyone who cares, I am going to keep my account on this platform but will be posting and spending most of my time on Bluesky from now on. I find it to be a nicer place.
@MarRettenberger Wow! Thank you, Martin. Coming from you, this means a lot to me. I am humbled and appreciative. Looking forward to seeing you at the IATSO conference in Poland next year
Call for abstracts open for NOTA international conference, Birmingham, May 2024. Closing date 12th October. Are you a researcher or practitioner interested in delivering a workshop re any aspect of sexual violence and child sexual abuse and exploitation? https://t.co/GcV4YgRWRM
In our research on forensic nurses (pre-Covid), we found they sleep less than 6 hours per night and this was related to higher anger and lower quality of life. Nurses do a tough job in difficult circumstances.
An absolute pleasure to present a pre-conference workshop and the opening keynote at MnATSA's 2023 conference. The organizing committee does a wonderful job. They and the attendees made me feel very welcome. Thanks for your hospitality and happy to do it again someday. #mnatsa
Dear @ianhanomansing
I beg you to play this clip for your listeners.
Tommy Douglas has an answer for your question.
Thank you,

My reply: That is a good question. Some programs would not provide treatment for someone deemed to be a "low risk". Their rationale tends to be that you can't reduce their risk. I disagree with this. I do agree that it is hard to empirically demonstrate a reduction in risk.
@WhigStandard Extremely disappointed in my hometown newspaper, the Whig, and will be unfollowing. It consistently puts forward skewed POV, like this one. People are fed up with Ford Gov not funding healthcare adequately, despite having a surplus.
@_thejeopardyfan I don't understand why anyone would be complaining? It was lots of fun and Ken's slip, and reaction, was hilarious. Not in favor of doing it all the time. But a wonderful one-off that could be repeated at future TOCs, IMO
@Rainbowgirl1982 I am sorry to hear this. I cannot think of any value gained in making you do this. In no way reduces your partner's risk nor does it help him reintegrate. Sounds like a vengeful policy made up by someone who knows nothing of the research in the area. There are many of those.
