I know it’s a Father’s Day post first and foremost, but this does make me think even more so that #Doom will be “adopting” the powerful children of the MCU in #Avengers#Doomsday
Gorillaz - The Mountain Tour yesterday was incredible to see. They played 30 songs with over 20 special guest performances. The music sounded fantastic. And I finally saw Shaun Ryder joining Gorillaz and Roses Gabor live to perform Dare. That was a bucket list moment for me.
@TheCinesthetic Probably because of how modest and unassuming he seems to be. Though perhaps it’s also because he’s overlooked that he has had such a mix of roles. He’s not been typecast and so with his talents is successful in getting and playing varied roles.
@hollywoodscifi I think she’s spot on here. I think it was so glaringly obvious as well because Ncuti is the first actor in the role to come across that way. Even the actors who were one-offs or had smaller amounts of screen time, showed so much more enthusiasm, respect and gratitude.
@RadioTimes I’m kind of hoping for someone fresh, new and younger. Someone who has respect and knowledge of the show but also has no connection to its past an and wants to fully revamp Doctor Who. I’ve been a devoted fan since 2005, but I really think this is what Doctor Who needs.
My take on Doctor Who’s fall is that like modern Star Wars, it got too big for its boots. It believed its name, history and more money would continue to carry it. It threw random and hollow ideas in the air, thinking it would work itself out and the audience keep clapping.
Really enjoyed Backrooms. Exactly the kind of weird I was hoping for. My mind is feeling slightly sore and fractured by that and the weird evening taking place around it too though 😵💫
Really enjoyed Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu a lot. I’ve seen some say it felt like the show squeezed into a movie but I disagree. It was very much a movie and has its own style. (1/3)
Granted it somewhat assumes you must already be a fan but I don’t think that means it’s alienating to anyone else either. I watched and felt like it wasn’t just made by Star Wars fans for Star Wars fans, it’s made by film lovers for film lovers. (2/3)
