@adwbto I’m very sorry to hear this Andrew. I knew John over the years from our days at Trinity College and beyond. He was always quick-minded and perceptive and he had a long and distinguished record of service, a man for all seasons with a crystal clear sense of the public good.
@michaelcoren Bless you for your amazing capacity to tolerate the abuse and to respond with a kind word or a polite gentle -but nevertheless - firm dismissal.
@EricGrenierTW @WaytowichNeil Where was Elections Canada through all of this? In my experience they are extremely thorough and on top of individual campaigns in the various ridings. Anyone with suspicions of impropriety would make their fiat call to EC.
@journo_dale @IshatReza Singh could have been so much more effective if he had allied his own position with that of the government and seriously begun to put the provincial premiers on the spot. It is they who are the roadblock, expecting federal resources without accountability.
@jztkddng When he was alive I always told people that our beloved “Sam the Wonder Dog” was a purebred “cinquante sept-er”. Unilingual anglophones would nod knowingly as I explained that it was a very rare breed. Francophones “d’un certain âge” always figured it out though.

Ontario, we have a problem.
On Tuesday, I spoke against Bill 28 in the House. Education workers & students, I stand with you against this legislation. The use of the Notwithstanding clause is unacceptable & I am appalled by the unjust behaviour of this government. #ONpoli#ONTed https://t.co/ea7MpZKhX2
