Pension Bill or Pension Theft? 🚨
ARTUZ President @OMasaraure has slammed the State Service Pension Bill, warning that it gives the Minister too much power and is open to abuse & corruption!
1) No clear investment guidelines – Funds could be looted.
2) Excessive ministerial control – One person holds too much power.
3) Risk of political manipulation – Pensions could be used as a political tool.
4) Diversion of pension funds – No safeguards to prevent misuse.
5) Lack of employee representation - Only 2 employees out of 12 board members will be appointed into the board.
💬 "This was a good attempt, but those who drafted it have let the country and pensioners down!"
Proud of the brilliant @ARTUZ_teachers team who tore the incoming State Service (Pensions) Bill. The Cdes presented well researched facts on how the bill seeks to create a looting trough for the elites.Bill creates a super Minister with no mechanism for accountability. We fight on!

Civil Servants are workers with families to serve. Yea we are servants of the people, we earn tax payer’s money. We however refuse to be enslaved. Our employer is diverting state resources to Mbingas , when we ask for a fair wage the employer declares bankruptcy. Those who work at passport offices don’t get a bonus from the private company printing passports. The company pockets all the profits and our colleagues take home hot air! Support the March Civil Servants Strike.
President @edmnangagwa through the Africa Union mission in Washington, DC, is so desperate for @USEmbZim
sanctions to be removed for human rights violations and other atrocities, that it has hired an unqualified woman to lobby Trump to lift sanctions. According to FARA registration by the Department of Justice, the woman opened the consulting firm in September of 2024 then secured the contract with the AU mission in December 2024. This is their first ever contract! Unbelievable! The woman has very little experience and based on our contacts in Washington, she’s all smokes and no real influence. Such a shame that this government is wasting our tax money on foolishness in Washington! @daddyhope@OMasaraure@JobSikhala1@MakomboreroH@TruePatriotZw@DavidColtart

We reflect on both the @ZctuZimbabwe & @MyMDC_T that Save led as he boldly confronted dictatorship. We now know the importance of having a leader whose heart is in the right place. He showed us the way, no matter how often we get lost we should one day get back on track. RIP Save!
We need to take heed of Samora Machel’s Aluta Continua against Superstition. The biggest impediment to national progress is superstition. False prophets like Magaya who can’t pass O level control the imaginations of our people. Difficult questions are deferred to God not Science.
🚨 ARTUZ responds to ZIMSEC’s 2025 exam fees circular.
❌ Gov’t claims of subsidising exam fees are FALSE.
💸 Parents are paying the FULL cost while elites send their kids to Cambridge.
📉 Over 2.7M students are out of school due to poverty.
📢 We demand:
✅ Full funding of basic education (Section 75)
✅ ONE exam board for ALL
✅ An end to ZIMSEC’s exploitation & corruption
On behalf of the people we accept the recognition from @USEmbZim
We have faith in the undying solidarity from the American people. They sponsored our liberation struggle. The drying up of donor funding presents us with a unique opportunity to build a genuine civic society.
Congratulations @Namataik_ & @OMasaraure who yesterday received the U.S. Ambassador’s Human Rights Defender Award for their unwavering commitment to freedom & democracy. We celebrate their leadership & honor their commitment. #Zimbabwe@weleadteam@ARTUZ_teachers
The rains being received across the country are destroying learning infrastructure. Reports from Masvingo and Midlands are painting a picture of a serious natural disaster.
Climate change is making extreme weather conditions more frequent and in the process disrupting existing educational systems, hindering children from accessing their right to education. This negates any progress realised in bridging the inequality gap between children of different genders from different social classes and different geographical spaces thereby increasing vulnerabilities.
In the Education in Emergencies report, (2021), we proposed ;
1. Sector Specific Disaster Management approach.
Disaster Risk Management, DRM must be integrated into different sectors e.g Education sector. Integration ensures that each sector comes up with more responsive sector specific DRM mechanisms, structures and protocols.
2. Education in Emergencies Committees
Schools and different communities around each school to create committees to coordinate responses to crises and disasters that may disrupt learning.
These and other recommendations aptly captured in our Education in Emergencies Report may go a long in promoting access to education during emergencies which are now a common thing in Africa.
@MoPSEZim has to lead the adoption and adaptation of such policy proposals to #SaveOurEducationZw
Ubuntu philosophy should be central to how we run the affairs of Zimbabwe. Whenever you feel like looting think of the millions who need education & healthcare among other basics. We do not really need sophisticated leaders but just leaders with their hearts in the right place.
Our people are enduring the horrors of demolitions, drought, want of healthcare & education e.t.c.The national mood doesn’t reflect the desperate situation our people are trapped in.The crisis can’t be deferred to the rigged 2028 ballot.Lets unite & fight for #FreedomNow
We should never promise immunity from prosecution to those who are currently abusing office. Every cent that is looted from national coffers should be paid back in the first week of realizing change. The right precedent has to be set. Public resources are sacrosanct. #FreedomNow
At this age a man should rest. They will not choose that option because they know they sinned against the people. They plundered & murdered abusing State power. No we should never make lives easy for the evil. They must be removed from power peacefully and be prosecuted.#FreedomNow
When we say #NoToThirdTerm we are not supporting the ascendancy of General Chiwenga. The two have served for long they both deserve a rest. It is time for a democratic breakthrough, birthing a new order of governance. We have had enough of these entitled Liberators. #FreedomNow
Good observation. My view is we don’t need manual jobs but the fruits we receive from production. The only body capable of effectively distributing proceeds of production is the State. If State is a bystander in production technology will deepen inequality.Developmental State.
