The far right: "Rittenhouse is a hero for defending himself and that property!"
Also the far right: "How dare Ukraine defend itself from Russia! Russia is just defending itself!"
I understand times are hard, but doesn't the President of the #Ukraine own a suit? I don't have much respect for current members of the U.S. Congress either, but I still wouldn't address them wearing a t-shirt. I wouldn't want to disrespect the institution or the Unites States.
In the future, I believe, the war in Ukraine will be generally known as a struggle of freedom versus tyranny, decency versus barbarism. But some will be very slow to acknowledge it as that. Some people never will.
I want to be clear: We will defend every inch of NATO territory with the full might of a united and galvanized NATO.
But we will not fight a war against Russia in Ukraine.
A direct confrontation between NATO and Russia is World War III. And something we must strive to prevent.
BREAKING: Police shot and killed a 12-year-old boy in Philadelphia last night.
His name was Thomas Siderio Jr. and the police shot him in the back as he was running away.
Police were in plain clothes and not wearing body cameras.
BREAKING: Idaho House Education Committee just blocked a bill to fund students instead of systems.
The vote was 8 to 7.
5 Republicans joined all 3 Democrats in voting to hold the bill in committee.
@talan_pomeroy @MrNicolasDiaz @ComicDaveSmith Lmao "expansion" is just countries voluntarily joining a military alliance, so Russia has invaded FAR more than NATO has dumbass.
@checkmatestate @TarienCole The motivation is a pretty weak pretext for his actual goal of restoring Soviet boundaries. Putin gave the best argument for NATO to still exist, and lolberts are going around saying it should be abolished lmao.
@checkmatestate They're just crying posting because they unironically believed the West is pathetic due to their obsession with the culture war. Righties were deep throating Putin not a week ago, only for Putin and Russia to be absolutely humiliated by Ukraine.
Europe was slow: Europeans were not convinced war was real, or that Ukrainians would fight. But it was and they did. Whatever the outcome, I hope we will now have a renewed, changed, American-European partnership, one that will face, realistically, the difficult future together.
