It's crazy how many people in America hate it here. I would never live somewhere I hated even half as much. Where I live matters so much that when I left the Army, I rented an apartment in San Antonio sight unseen. I wanted to live in Texas so badly that I moved without knowing anyone. I don’t regret it—this is already my favorite chapter of life.
If you don’t want to be here, just leave. America was founded and built by strong-willed people who fought multiple wars to keep it that way. Don’t try to change us into something we’re not. The things you want are diametrically opposed to our way of life, and our side put skin in the game. Stop comparing us to other countries and go there if that’s what you idealize. You won’t regret it.
"We take the stars from heaven, the red from our mother country, separating it by white stripes, thus showing that we have separated from her, and the white stripes shall go down to posterity, representing our liberty." —George Washington
@CJGRISHAM@TeamTalaricoHQ Or how about how God brings Israel into the promised land and tells them to completely eradicate all the natives because they engage in child sacrifice?
My favorite Ranger Operation from WWII: Rangers Lt. Edlin and Sgts Courtney, Dreher, and Dreher went out on a recce of a German held fort im Brest, France that had so far been impenetrable to U.S. divisions. Sneaking up to an outpost armed with MG42s the four Rangers jumped into the doorway and captured 20 Fallschirmjägers. Lt. Edlin then forced the German Lt. to take him inside the fort and to the forts commander. Once inside, Lt. Edlin demanded that the German commander, Oberstleutnant Furst, surrender his garrison. At first Furst refused, saying that "there are only 4 of you, you are my prisoners." Undeterred, Lt. Edlin took a grenade and pulled the pin, threatening to blow himself and the Furst up. Furst blinked first and told his garrison to surrender. 4 Rangers of the 2nd Ranger Battalion Able Company captured a garrison of 814 Germans.
