@NoetheMatt No.
I was a fully qualified PCC cataloger before obtaining my MLS and frankly I learned nothing of value, I just got paid more. Arguing it teaches the ethics of librarianship "unknown" to non-MLS library staff is offensive and dismissive of their education/ethical understanding.
@Lavenderbrarian The other side of this in the "can't win" game is that you stay at a job for a longer amount of time and then decide you want to try something new and again, you get judged. Why do you "suddenly" want to move?
We wish all attendees at #nasig2023 a safe trip back home! If youβve followed along here and were unable to join us this time, we hope youβll consider joining us for #nasig2024 in Spokane, WA from 2-6 June. Also keep an eye out for our virtual conference this Fall!
Hope everyone has a safe trip home. I've received notice of gate changes four times in the last five minutes - luckily the last change reverted to the first gate... Obviously warming me up for the collections relocation meeting back at my library.

Can't believe it's already over. I learned useful things, reconnected with some brilliantly troublesome librarians I haven't seen since pre-Covid and met some new ones! Thanks, #nasig2023

I've arrived stupidly early for the conference due to only wanting to take a direct flight. It's such a short flight. Why would I want to transfer?
Already in my room though. Hotel membership has its privileges...
