@rynogeny My hope is that the extraordinary rescue effort for the Titanic tour is because those people have a lot of money and the efforts are being privately funded. There’s is a Million+ in fees already invested in this trip. Maybe I’m wrong, but it makes me feel better about it.
@amy_librarian78 I do think it matters that librarians are involved in Faculty life, committees and shared governance. And if a librarian is doing instruction, they deserve faculty status.
@amy_librarian78 I think this is something to consider, but making the workplace attractive and competitive to draw applicants is also an important consideration.
@amy_librarian78 Does age matter? I feel like older generations would think people need to earn their trust, but that younger people should automatically trust older people or their superiors.
@hbbrick This is something that is often not understood by administrators. Catalogers are good Reference librarians because they know the collection the best, but making books findable is definitely public facing.
@amy_librarian78 It is interesting that we must hold a kind of tension. Like deadlines can be helpful because they can propel us forward. But they also need to be realistic so they don’t burn us out.
@BethMooreLPM One comment I saw on Twitter after watching pointed out something that should have been obvious. Jesus was never mentioned. Maybe that’s careful editing, but something to pay attention to as you continue watching.
